    YOU’RE INVITED!  DINNER WITH DEBBIE!

Don’t miss this great mixer to cheer on, our Debbie, the Rockets top cheerleader,

    for:    CLASS PRESIDENT!

(elections are held in the Boy’s Gymnasium November 6, 2012)

Hi fellow Rockets! It’s Debbie!

Since my freshman year, I have been cheering on our winning team, THE ROCKETS!

Last year I took the lead, as cheerleader, to involve parents and community to push our Rockets
all the way to the State Championship!  Our new multicultural cheers have pulled us together like no other team.

I know I can do the same for YOU as Class President!

Please come to our mixer this Valentines Day and boost your social life!

Where? The Grover Cleveland Memorial High School Cafeteria

When? 6:30 pm

Juice, milk, fruit, and donuts will be served. Parents are welcome to attend this event!

Sponsored by CLASSMATES FOR DEBBIE, The Parent Teacher Association, and the Athletic Advisory Student Council of Grover Cleveland High

Happy valentines day!

WELCOME TO DINNER WITH DEBBIE, OUR NEXT CLASS PRESIDENT!

Thank you all for coming, fellow Rockets, Teachers, Parents & Community Members!

This year I hope to lead you all in a bigger cheer, one for  OUR VERY OWN

                                   Grover Cleveland High!

Our year poses some of the same challenges we faced together last year as a student body: our tight budget, afterschool activities, part time student job opportunities, and neighborhood safety.

I know together we can stand tall and cheer for a better year!

We can work past issues like the continued support of Catholic Charities Food Pantry to our Home Economics Department. Even though the CC Food Pantry requires that we do not make Devil’s Food Cake or Better Than Sex Brownies, I think we can all agree that the money saved by their contribution is worth giving up these tasty treats!

Valentines Day helps us remember the ones we love! And with GC High 2012 Prom night around the corner, let’s think about our Prom dates.  If you are a guy who is giving your valentine this year to a guy, or girl to girl, then GO TEAM!  But let’s not press the issue at our very own GC Prom.  Debbie wants you to be TEAM BUILDERS!

All are welcome to The Young, Wild & Free  2012 Prom, but our Parent Teacher Association funding the YW & F Prom has a different standard. So please for continued financial support of our DJ, banquet hall, school bus chauffeurs, chaperons, and PTA Decorations Committee, we ask that you keep your Prom date choices discrete.

Nobody better than Debbie knows that a visit from ‘Aunt Flo’ at school means a trip to the Nurse’s Office, & boy, can that be a busy place!  As Class President I hope to make our Nurse’s Office streamlined and efficient like my Rocket Squad Team!  No more standing in a line leading almost to the Counselor’s Office for a Tylenol, or pressure bandage (shop class! Please try to be more careful).  A small parental financial contribution included with semester book fees will make sure your student health needs are met in a timely way!  (added cost & penalties for non participation will benefit all!)

These are just a few of the issues Debbie will address tonight! Enjoy your Valentines Day Treats & WE count on your vote!

THE ROCKET LAUNCH  SCHOOL  NEWS

DINNER WITH DEBBIE WAS A DELIGHT & A DETRIMENT

Last night our very own Rocket Cheerleading Squad Team Leader, Debbie, hosted her own Valentines Day themed Class President Campaign Dinner.  She stood tall & proud for our school’s future in the blue and gold! Her own squad began the evening’s festivities with a new cheer for Debbie for Class President!

"WHEN MONEY IS DEAR, WE HOLD DEBBIE NEAR!
AS CLASS PRESIDENT, SHE WILL US REPRESENT!
THOUGH OUR VALUES COMPRIMISED,
SHE WILL OUR BILLS ITEMIZE!
DEBBIE CAN INTERFACE AND OUR BILLS PAY!

VOTE FOR DEBBIE, VOTE FOR DEBBIE, ALL THE WAY! GOOOO, DEBBIE! GOOOOO, DEBBIE!”

Parents and Teachers alike applauded at Debbie's new slant on collective compromise to previous issues that tended to divide the school student body and faculty.

Teachers will donate three weeks of their Spring and Christmas vacations to improve student test scores and ensure all a successful graduation.  This program, “Leave No Football Player Behind” is geared towards those physically enhanced, but scholastically challenged members of our student body. (Union agreements for paid teacher vacations will have to be put aside for the greater good of the LNFPB Program)

Neighborhood safety issues became apparent during Dinner With Debbie when a small child, wrapped in cellophane was tossed on one of the school lunchroom tables.  The child had been obviously tortured and then killed.  Heart shaped cookies flew in all directions as armed men fled the area leaving the dead child.

Some dinner attendees commented that the particular neighborhood responsible for the child’s death had always had such problems, so no intervention was needed.

Others queried as to how we could possibly address such issues as tortured children, & neighborhood freedom issues, when we had bigger topics to deal with: the rising cost of football uniforms, the need for replacement bleachers at the GCHS Boy's Gymnasium, and a healthier school lunch program.

Debbie quickly recovered her campaign focus by acknowledging the dead child in cellophane & initiating:

a‘Friends For Tortured Children’s Campaign'. Anyone wishing to help could sign up by the punch bowl after her Valentines Dinner.

Our Debbie dazzled the crowd with after school job ideas, college funding opportunities, A new Teacher Of The Year Program, WY & F Prom decoration ideas, & a closing cheer:

Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.”

The dead child in cellophane bled on several styrofoam plates of Home Econ I  treats.  A few people signed up for the‘Friends For Tortured Children’s Campaign’.

Debbie was applauded and is expected to be
Grover Cleveland High School's next Class President! GO ROCKETS!

Vote For Debbie is a political satire of our American politics mucking about and ignoring important issues such as Children of War Rights In Syria, Gay Marriage, & support of our Unions, all for the sake of the‘continued funding’ for politicians own campaign support.
